Pictures from a bon fire and a bright a** moon last week. These are the moments when I get all artsy and I "feel" the art. My awesome skillz at taking pictures. I feel so alive. (btdubs, this is a gargantuan amount of sarcasm).

CCAD Community Shirt Design

This is a shirt that I designed for the Fall 2011 semester at CCAD. The shirt is currently being sold in the school's supply store. I had a lot of fun with this project and I really enjoyed doing this work for my school. Enjoy!

Floating Island Village

I kind-of went on a landscape kick this summer and I cranked out some really cool pieces. Landscapes are fairly new to me (winter of 2010 [about]) and they have turned into something very fun and challenging for me. You can't do landscape concepts and NOT have floating islands...halleluiah....

Swamp House

A house concept that I came up with for my story Ultimate Instinct. This house would most likely be the home for one of my characters. I hadn't done any real structural drawings since structural drawing freshman year so I figured it was time to see if I could still do it. Enjoy!

Spirt, Body & Mind

Advertisements for a women's self defense program that I did for my Ad/Graph class Sophomore year. Skeptical that I got women's self-defense among all of the other choices but I ended up having a good time working on these pieces and I learned a lot on women's self defense. Not that I actually did women's self defense...I mean info on it....not actual self defense........I'm a man.......yeah.........steak...........

Ultimate Gamer Poster

12 steps that you must follow if you wish to be the ultimate gamer. Kinda like if you want to make an apple pie from scratch. Finn is at the end, yay! This is a poster that I made in Ad/Graph. The project was to make an informative poster with multiple steps. This project was the real turning point in my Ad Graph class (in a good way). Have a good day!

Big Foot Game Characters

These are some characters that my team and I came up with in the 2011 Spring semester in Ad/Graph. Each person would be in charge of moving all three of their group members (so you would have to choose which one moved and which ones stayed). The final designs were done by moi and I threw in a big foot for the hell of it. Enjoy!

Top Daily Drawings #1

The first collection of my favorite daily drawings of 2010. The whole reason that I did this project was to help me get back into drawing and hopefully discover new techniques and/or styles of drawing.

*The Story*
In September 2009 (the 2nd day of the fall semester) I was admitted into the hospital for a serious case of appendicitis. Essentially my appendix committed seppuku with a grenade. I was in critical care for about a week and gradually moved up to less and less serious states of being in the hospital. I ended up being in the hospital for three weeks then about 8 weeks at home for recovery. Getting back on top of that amount of work (and if you go to CCAD you know what I mean) is pretty much impossible. So not only was this the longest amount of time that I had been out of school since I was a baby but it was the longest amount of time that I had gone without drawing. Since I had zero motivation to do anything art wise and I was going to be in class in the Spring I figured I needed to get on this whole "art thing." I made a new years revolution to do a drawing everyday and that exactly what I did.

Daft Punk is awesome. The Daft punk pictures is one of my favorite drawings ever, just saying. Props to my friend Jeffrey Tyler Stevenson who was an awesome skateboarder as well as an awesome artist. Although I didn't know him as well as a lot of people I cherished the times that we did talk and it was a shame that he left us as young as he did. Miss you Jeff.

So this is the last part of my favorite daily drawings. Looking back on these pictures is pretty funny. Most of the pieces near the bottom are the ones that really defined my style that I have now. It was an interesting journey in getting back on my feet (drawing wise) and really pushing myself to create everyday. I really enjoyed putting these pieces together and I hope they are good for the first collection on this blog and I hope that you enjoy them!

Starting off...

Soooo... I would like this to be a super unified blog where I just have EVERYTHING on here and not have multiple blogs for different mediums. So hopefully this blog works out well and I am able to update it regularly. We shall see...
